PhD candidate wins $10k media innovation prize


William Robinson, a video game designer and PhD candidate in the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Society and Culture, in collaboration with Marley Sniatowsky, creative director at Tête Carée Films, and Alina Maizel, a project manager at the multimedia company Moment Factory, created an online-sharing interface designed to give “kosher” the same cachet as other trendy foodie experiences. The interface won $10,000 during the inaugural NU: Media Innovation Initiative conference.
