New Book on the way

Congratulations to Dr. P. R. Kumaraswamy, a former visitor and guest lecturer at the Azrieli Institute of Israel Studies, on being the editor of an upcoming book, The Palgrave International Handbook of Israel. P. R. Kumaraswamy is a Professor of Contemporary Middle East Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, India. He is also the editor of Contemporary Review of the Middle East and the series editor of Persian Gulf: India’s Relations with the Region.

This International Handbook on Israel seeks to provide a holistic understanding of Israel as a state and society in its political, economic, security, social, and cultural manifestations. Israel as a state and society is central to Middle East politics and is vital for understanding the region better and it is imperative to understand Israel, its domestic politics, foreign and security policies, economy, society, culture and scientific advancements. The book aims to be a comprehensive and holistic guide on Israel.

*FUN FACT: In 2018, Dr. Kumaraswamy presented to Dr. Csaba Nikolenyi's Political Science class on the relationship between India and Israel.
