Join us for a hands-on volunteer session and learn how to winterize a perennial herb garden and food forest! These sessions will cover essential techniques to protect plants during the colder months, ensuring a healthy and productive garden next season. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just getting started, this is a great opportunity to gain practical skills and contribute to our community on the Loyola Farm.

Where to find the garden

Started over twelve years ago, these gardens are planted with a diverse array of fruit trees, berries, and nuts, alongside a variety of flowers and herbs, helping to create a dynamic ecosystem that nourishes each plant as well as the whole. The Food Forest and CHAP Medicinal Herb Garden are part of the expansive Loyola Farm located on Concordia's Loyola Campus, and are projects of the Concordia Greenhouse. Our initiative of revitalizing the Food Forest will help protect the habitat of a diverse array of local animals, and will contribute to the effort of increasing the biodiversity on campus.

This event is part of Campus Sustainability Month at Concordia, a month-long series of sustainability events and activities.
