Join us for a practical, hands-on session designed to prepare you for Concordia's new Policy on Email Accounts for Students and Employees. We'll walk through what the policy means for your day-to-day interactions with students, revisit best practices for handling confidential and private student information, and give you the tools to redirect communications from personal email addresses in a way that is helpful, not bureaucratic.

The session will cover:

  • An overview of the new email policy and what it means for student-facing work
  • How institutional email supports identity validation and protects both students and staff
  • A refresher on handling confidential and private information — what you can share, with whom, and when
  • Practical scenarios and template language for common situations
  • Q&A

All Concordia faculty and staff are welcome to attend this Teams session. Please register in advance. The session will be recorded, and the recording will be shared with registrants afterward. We look forward to seeing you there!

Note: This session focuses on impacts for student-facing staff. A separate session will be offered for all faculty and staff to address the broader implications of the new email policy.
