A thesis proposal is an important step in your graduate academic journey and a roadmap for your research. Whether you are a Master’s or Doctoral student, developing a clear proposal can help you clarify your research goals, questions, methods, and timeline, and make the research process smoother.

In this workshop, you will explore different types of thesis proposals and consider which best fits your research. You will have opportunities to think through your research questions, methodology, and other key sections of your proposal, and to discuss suggestions and tips for structuring and planning it.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the important aspects of a thesis proposal;
  • Understand how to structure and plan their own research proposal;
  • Identify available resources for proposal writing;
  • Plan their research process and timeline.
