This training is offered by GradProSkills. It is only open to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
Advance registration is required.
How should you respond when offered a position? This clinic will teach you the various elements of a job offer, how to evaluate them, and most importantly, how to negotiate them.
At this workshop, students will learn:
- Four major principles of negotiation, and why they matter
- The various features of compensation an organization offers, and how/when to negotiate each
- Tips and strategies to use at the various stages of negotiations
