Licensure 101: What every engineering student needs to know

As part of its Pathway to Engineering program, Engineers Canada is hosting a free webinar for engineering students entitled, “Licensure 101: What Every Engineering Student Needs to Know”. 

The webinar is designed to help students start the academic year with a clearer understanding of the value of engineering licensure and how it fits into their future career path. The webinar will cover: 

• Why engineering is a licensed profession

• How licensure gives students an edge in the job market and why employers value it

• The quickest path to licensure and steps students can take now to make the process smoother after graduation

• Where students can find support, resources, and guidance through Pathway to Engineering

With a presentation followed by a live Q&A, this webinar gives students the opportunity to bring their questions and gain practical guidance as they think about their next steps after graduation. All who register to attend the webinar and agree to be subscribed to Pathway to Engineering news alerts will also be provided an opportunity to enter their name into a draw for a chance to win a National Professional Practice Exam (NPPE) Prep Course (a $300-$400 value) from Practice PPE Exams.

Dans le cadre de son programme Parcours vers l’ingénierie, Ingénieurs Canada offrira un webinaire gratuit pour les étudiant.e.s en génie intitulé  Permis d’exercice 101 : ce que tout.e étudiant.e en génie doit savoir.

Ce webinaire a pour objectif d’aider les étudiant.e.s à aborder la rentrée universitaire en comprenant mieux l’importance du permis d’exercice et la place qu’il occupe dans leur futur parcours professionnel. Le webinaire sera axé sur les sujets suivants :

• Les raisons pour lesquelles la profession d’ingénieur est réglementée

• À quel point l’obtention d’un permis d’exercice donne un avantage aux étudiant.e.s sur le marché du travail et pourquoi les employeurs l’apprécient

• Le chemin le plus rapide vers l’obtention d’un permis d’exercice et les mesures que les étudiant.e.s peuvent prendre dès maintenant pour faciliter le processus après l’obtention de leur diplôme

• Où trouver de l’aide, des ressources et des conseils grâce à Parcours vers l’ingénierie

Avec une présentation suivie d’une séance de questions-réponses en direct, ce webinaire offrira aux étudiant.e.s l’occasion de poser leurs questions et d’obtenir des conseils pratiques alors qu’ils envisagent les prochaines étapes après l’obtention de leur diplôme. Toutes les personnes qui s’inscrivent au webinaire et acceptent de s’abonner aux actualités de Parcours vers l’ingénierie pourront également participer à un tirage au sort pour courir la chance de gagner un cours de préparation à l’Examen national de pratique professionnelle (ENPP) (d’une valeur de 300 à 400 dollars) proposé par Practice PPE Exams.
