Join the first SHIFT Lunch & Learn on Tuesday, November 1, from noon to 2 p.m.
Members of “The Evolution of the Li-Ber-T House” and “I Know why the Caged Birds Sings” projects will speak about their respective models of accompanying individuals through the challenging transition out of incarceration or drug rehabilitation.
About the projects
Li-Ber-T House is piloting alternative models and practices to facilitate the reintegration and empowerment of women transitioning out of rehabilitation or released from prison.
I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings brings together researchers, community organizers and individuals with lived experience to address the challenges that formerly incarcerated Black men face as they attempt to successfully transition back into society.
Bring your own lunch or come and snack on what we have at the Centre!
This event is open to all, registration is required.
The SHIFT Learning Community Showcase series will occur every first Tuesday of the month. Get to meet members of the SHIFT Learning Community and learn about the socially transformative initiatives they are leading.
