Text art showing "GÉNÉRATION XEROX" in capital letters with a patchy black and white texture GÉNÉRATION XEROX Exhibition logo

GÉNÉRATION XEROX explores the ongoing love affair between LGBTQ2IA+ communities and unbridled expression via self-publication, in particular the medium of zines. Sold and traded at punk shows or through the mail, zines hold an important place in the dissemination of queer ideas and information.

GÉNÉRATION XEROX exhibits merely a small piece of what’s been gathered within the Archives gaies du Québec’s (AGQ) collections. Those on show here, this exhibition's second iteration, include new additions to the AGQ since our original edition in 2023. Curated by Simone Beaudry-Pilotte, Mark Andrew Hamilton, and August Klintberg, with design by Asad Pervaiz.
