End of term can feel overwhelming - deadlines pile up, pressure increases, and it’s easy to be hard on yourself. This workshop explores how self-compassion can help you navigate stress in a healthier, more supportive way.

You’ll learn how to respond to challenges with greater kindness toward yourself while still staying motivated and accountable. We’ll break down self-compassion into three practical skills - mindfulness, recognizing that you’re not alone in your struggles, and self-kindness - and explore how to use them in everyday student life.

You will leave with simple, practical tools to manage difficult emotions, quiet self-criticism, and build a more balanced inner voice.

By the end of this workshop, you will:

  • Recognize common end-of-term stressors and how they affect you
  • Understand what self-compassion really means (and what it doesn’t mean)
  • Learn and practice strategies to respond to stress and setbacks with supportive self-talk instead of harsh self-criticism
