Join us for the launch of Oral History Off the Record, a new podcast by the Kitchen Table Collective (KTC). Once a month, hosts Cassandra Marsillo and Hana Sherafati Zanganeh interview practitioners from around the world to understand what goes into asking the important questions: What can we learn from oral historians and their expertise in listening? And why do we believe that oral history can save the world? At this launch and special live episode recording, hear from members of the KTC as they reflect on what it means to be doing oral history in this moment and the value of listening in an age of polycrisis.
The panel will be followed by a catered lunch. Free to attend in person or virtually.
The Kitchen Table Collective is an online network founded by Stacey Zembrzycki and Anna Sheftel in September 2023, which brings together an international and intergenerational group of oral historians to discuss developments in the field, and how we are collectively navigating the politics of our institutions, communities, and everyday lives.
How can you participate? Join us in person or online by registering for the Zoom Meeting or watching live on YouTube.
