Join us for a conversation with Tlingit artist Brad Henry, presented by First Peoples Studies – School of Community and Public Affairs and Indigenous Directions.

Brad Henry will discuss his visual work, rooted in the teachings of his cultural heritage, and in the style of traditional Northwest coast and Inland Tlingit art. He will also perform two songs with drum and will be accompanied by Anishinaabe guitarist and Concordia music student Emilio Wawatie. An informal Q&A will be moderated by Prof. Nicolas Renaud from First Peoples Studies.

Brad Henry

Henry was born in Whitehorse, Yukon, and is of Vun Tut Gwitch’in and Inland Tlingit heritage. He uses acrylic on canvas, paper, walls or wood. Brad does workshops and community murals to teach people about the diversity and commonalities amongst our first nations & cultures across Turtle Island. As a musician and singer-songwriter, he performed on Aboriginal Voices (CTV), The Mix (APTN), Buffalo Tracks (APTN), Aboriginal arts and Entertainment (APTN), and released two albums.
