Join the Black Perspectives Office and the School of Graduate Studies for Mastering the Art of Research Proposals (Part 2): Peer Review and Feedback Session.

Have a draft research proposal and want thoughtful feedback before submission?

This collaborative session supports prospective and current graduate students from underrepresented communities by providing an opportunity to share a draft proposal excerpt and receive constructive peer feedback in a supportive and culturally affirming environment.

Participants will also practice providing feedback to peers, strengthening analytical skills that improve proposal writing and revision processes.

Led by Cecilia Kramer, this session is ideal for graduate students preparing applications for upcoming funding competitions at Concordia.

What you will gain

By the end of this session, participants will:

  • Receive constructive peer feedback on proposal drafts
  • Learn how to give thoughtful, useful feedback to others
  • Strengthen proposal clarity and persuasiveness through revision strategies
  • Build supportive connections with other graduate students from underrepresented communities
  • Identify concrete next steps for improving proposal competitiveness

Important note

Participants will benefit most from having attended Mastering the Art of Research Proposals (Part 1): Crafting a Strong and Persuasive Proposal, which introduced the core strategies and frameworks used in this peer-review session.

If you were unable to attend Part 1: Mastering the Art of Research Proposals, you are still welcome to participate. Please contact Cecilia Kramar in advance so you can receive the key concepts introduced in the first workshop.
