Positionality as a praxis in the field of journalism: Building respectful engagement with local Indigenous peoples and communities

This workshop aims to engage participants in critical discourse and analysis on ways to decolonize their teaching and learning practices as it relates to the study of Journalism in academia.  Participants will consider their own positionality and how it affects their approach and understanding when it comes to building trusting and respectful engagement with local Indigenous peoples and communities.
