Experience 60 years of stories, resistance, and creativity at the CUTV Archive Launch Party!
Since 1969, CUTV has documented arts, activism, and everyday life in Tiohtià:ke / Montreal. Our video archive includes everything from independent student news, coverage of local music scenes, silly student productions, protest footage, and more. Over the past year our team has worked towards digitizing and publishing this collection, making it accessible for researchers, organizers, artists, and our entire community.
Join us for a showcase and celebration of community media connecting past, present and future at the Co-op Bar Milton-Parc [BMP], 3714 Avenue du Parc on Tuesday June 16, 18h–21h. We are planning a presentation on the project and a screening of select clips starting at 19h.
Enjoy free food, a paid bar, and rare archival clips. Come find out what the archive can do for you!
Accessibility for BMP: zero exterior steps, 90cm wide doors, a wheelchair-accessible washroom, and low-rise seating. Find more details here: https://bmp.coop/accessibility/.
Thank you to the Records Management and Archives Department at Concordia University for their ongoing collaboration and support on this project. This project is funded through the Library Archives Canada Documentary Heritage Communities Program (DCHP).
