You are invited to join President Graham Carr, Provost Anne Whitelaw, and Special Advisor to the Provost on Black Integration & Knowledges, Angélique Willkie, as they unveil a temporary plaque commemorating the Henry F. Hall Building as the site of Canada’s largest student protest against anti-Black racism.
WHEN: Monday, February 6, 2023, 4:45 p.m.
WHERE: Lobby of the Hall Building, near the escalators
WHY: To draw lessons from the legacy of 1968-1969, to introduce a new commemoration website, and to announce a contest to find a name for the soon-to-be-inaugurated Black Students Centre.
