What is the state of curating contemporary art in Quebec today, and what is the role of curatorial studies programs in this landscape/art ecology? This panel, organized as a roundtable conversation, looks to expand upon the first year of Concordia University’s new Curatorial Studies Microprogram and Certificate to ask what the term “curatorial” means in today’s rapidly shifting cultural spaces. Through the experiences of the program's three inaugural Scholars-in-Residence eunice bélidor, Dominique Fontaine, and Didier Morelli, the dialogue will explore how both practice and theory inform thoughtful, engaged, and responsive exhibition making.
This event will be held in French, with interpretation in Quebec Sign Language (LSQ).
