Extending between the Lines: FFAR Pop-Up Exhibition
"Extending Between the Lines" is a 3-hour pop-up exhibition and celebration of works-in-progress from FFAR 249 students.
It will take place on April 17, from 5 to 8 p.m., in the EV Junction and area.
FFAR 249 is a ~900-person undergraduate course in interdisciplinary arts that puts students across FoFA departments into conversation and collaboration, including design + computation, studio arts, dance, cinema, art education, art history, theatre, music, and creative arts therapy.
This year, students have been building intellectual and artistic work around a series of keywords, including engaging, critiquing, working, stories, reciprocity, labour, borders, magic, embodiment, failure, the night, kin/kinship, activism, the future, and slowness.
The focus for the pop-up exhibition is on process rather than product, and, in line with the keywords above, students volunteering to exhibit are encouraged to bring their work as-is — this is a chance to celebrate, embrace, and participate in creativity, imperfection, spontaneity, and community.
