Jurist-in-Residence at Concordia University Morton S. Minc invites you to an in-person conversation with Allen Mendelsohn, a lawyer specializing in internet law.
The session looks at how defamation works when the comments live online, how reputations can be harmed in an instant and what the law considers fair comment or crossing the line.
All students are welcome from any faculty and degree. Knowing your rights as you navigate the net is of interest to everyone.
Since Concordia University is an organization distinct from the Bar of Quebec, you must declare your hours of training in your personal file. A certificate of attendance representing 1.5 hours of continuing education will be issued to lawyers who attend this conference.
Concordia Jurist-in-Residence Morton Minc hosts a series of law-related lectures by prominent speakers, designed for students at the Gina Cody School. The series explores the intersection of law, technology, and leadership—skills that are essential for today’s professionals.
With a specialization in internet and technology law, Me Allen Mendelsohn provides legal services including specialized internet, privacy, and corporate law to a variety of clients in the technological sector and online space. He teaches Internet Law at the Faculty of Law at McGill University.
