Join us for RéQEF's annual symposium in collaboration with the Canada Research Chair in Feminist Ethics. Three panels will feature contributors from Le sujet du féminisme est-il blanc? - Tome 2, bringing together Indigenous, Black, racialized, decolonial and allied feminist voices.
Topics include: persistent colonial violence and extractivism, islamophobia masked as neutrality, the myth of universal sisterhood, white savior complexes, epistemic injustices, and the erasure of marginalized women's struggles in Québec feminist history. These discussions call for building coalitions and real alliances in response to rising fascisms.
Proud to highlight SDBI community members Chantal Maillé (Professor, co-editor & panelist) and Marlihan Lopez (Events & Community Engagement, panelist).
Book launch follows at 5 p.m. with festive cocktail reception (5 to 7 p.m.).
FREE event with lunch included (register by Nov 23 for meal)
Travel reimbursement available for students outside Montreal (up to $100, limited spots)
