Les Québécois expérimentent depuis trente ans une transformation majeure dans la façon qu’ils ont de se représenter collectivement. Ils offrent de nouvelles réponses aux trois questions cardinales à leur existence: d’où venons-nous, qui sommes-nous, où allons-nous? Qu’il s’agisse du rapport à Soi, du rapport à l’Autre, du rapport à l’«Anglais», du rapport à l’histoire ou du rapport à l’avenir, l’identitaire québécois se recompose sourdement. 

Dans le cadre de ce dîner-causerie, Jocelyn Létourneau présentera cet essai récemment paru chez Boréal.

Lunch & Learn: Silent Revolution: The Transformation of Quebec’s Identity Narrative

For the past thirty years, Quebecers have experienced a major transformation in the way they represent themselves collectively. They are providing new answers to the three fundamental questions of their existence: Where do we come from? Who are we? Where are we going? Whether in their relationship to themselves, to others, to “l’Anglais,” to history, or to the future, Quebec’s identity framework is being quietly reconfigured. The “silent revolution” unfolding in Quebec has worried many, who resist its emergence.

In this Lunch & Learn, Jocelyn Létourneau will present this recently published essay from les éditions du Boréal.
