Join us for the launch of a 30-minute film exploring the experiences of English-speaking Quebecers in the Outaouais, part of a broader series capturing regional perspectives in Quebec.
This documentary project, directed by QUESCREN research associate and filmmaker Anita Aloisio, explores the lives of English-speaking community members across Quebec. Using video ethnography and research-creation approaches, this series offers an intimate look at how language, identity, and regional context shape the lived experiences of English speakers outside the province’s major urban centres.
This event is free and open to all. A Q&A with Anita will follow, and she'll be joined by film participants Nikki Mantel, owner and publisher of the Low Down Newspaper, Trevor Greenway, editor-in-chief at the paper, and Danielle Lanyi, executive director at Connexions Ressource Centre. A cash bar will be available.
The films will be available to view online at a later date.
