This book launch celebrates the second edition of Roots & Recipes, a community-driven cookbook that brings together food, culture, health, and sustainability through personal storytelling. Developed through contributions from Concordia students, staff, and faculty, the cookbook highlights recipes that reflect cultural traditions, lived experiences, and sustainable food practices. The event will introduce the second edition of the cookbook, featuring selected stories and reflections that explore food as a source of nourishment, identity, and connection. By highlighting food as both a reflection of culture and a key part of our health, the book launch brings people together to explore how what we eat affects ourselves, our communities, and the planet. Aligned with the conference theme, this session invites participants to reflect on how everyday food practices can support healthier people and a more sustainable world. The launch will also serve as a moment of collective celebration, bringing contributors and the Concordia community together to honor diverse food traditions and the stories that sustain us.
