Ever wondered what was buzzing in your backyard? Come join us at the Loyola Campus Bioblitz and team up with Concordia researchers and community members to discover and document the diversity of pollinators on campus. No experience needed; just bring your curiosity for nature!

What you’ll do:

  • Learn about the vital role pollinators play in biodiversity and climate
  • Sample and identify live pollinators first hand in their natural habitat
  • Contribute to biodiversity research at Concordia through citizen science

What you’ll need:

  • Camera or mobile device with camera
  • iNaturalist account and app installed on your devices

What we’ll provide:

  • Expert guidance and support throughout the process
  • Sampling equipment
  • Food and drink (Identification Workshop & Keynote)

Programming: 

The event will be followed by the Keynote Speakers and Identification Workshop from 17:00-19:00. All participants are welcome to attend either or both events.

Liability Agreement

By signing up for this event, you acknowledge and accept the risks involved in participating in an outdoor activity which involves interacting with and handling live fauna. We advise all participants to bring any prescribed medications (i.e. Epipen, asthma inhalers) in case of emergencies. Please be sure to indicate any and all allergies in the registration form.
