Graphic art for the Zines as Popular Education Tools workshop

How can a simple DIY publication become a tool for empowerment, community building, and social change?

Join writer, educator, and zine researcher Sage Pantony for an interactive workshop exploring the power of zines - small, independently produced publications that combine creativity, storytelling, and self-expression.

Discover how zines can amplify marginalized voices, encourage dialogue, challenge systems of oppression, and make knowledge more accessible. Through discussions and activities, participants will explore the potential of zines in popular education, activism, and educational research.

No prior experience with zines or research is required. Just bring your curiosity and questions!
