As graduate students, we have a unique perspective on generative AI. This contentious topic can pit students against teachers, novices against experts—but we are all of those at once!
Graduate students are invited to join PhD candidate Amanda Light Dunbar for a bi-weekly discussion series. Student/instructors, TAs, and education researchers are particularly encouraged to participate, but all are welcome!
Together, we’ll explore issues around AI and plagiarism, critical thinking, academic skills, and other topics relevant to graduate students. We’ll also discuss how we might share our findings via co-written blog posts, articles, position statements, etc.
Pre-registration for all six sessions is encouraged to help with our planning, but drop-ins are allowed. Bring your lunch and chat with us every other Tuesday from September 22nd to December 1st!
