Learn the basics of how to start your own science communication business! Whether you're starting your freelancer or solopreneur journey, this workshop will cover how to set up your business, identify your clients, price your services, and much more. Come prepared to engage. No questions are off the table.

The event is free, but registration is required as spots are limited.

About the speaker

Ki-Youn Kim is a science communication specialist who helps clients across Canada be understood. Her professional work includes a wide range of projects including infographic design, writing, social media, workshops, and much more. Recently, she won a business grant from Invest Ottawa's Starter Company Plus program. Ki-Youn is now working to grow her business and teaches at her alma mater, the graduate Science Communication program at Laurentian University. She also served on the board of directors for the Science Writers and Communicators of Canada.
