Official Launch Of New Permanent Judaica Installation

Montreal community leader and entrepreneur, Irwin Tauben, has spent the last 25 years devotedly collecting antique Jewish ritual objects from around the world with a focus on Eastern European silver Judaica in honour of his familial roots. Now this impressive assemblage of candlesticks, kiddush cups, Hanukah menorahs, spice boxes, Torah pointers and more can be enjoyed and appreciated by the whole community on permanent display in the Gelber Conference Centre.

The collection will become the source for a new interactive, educational website and more. Learn about these new initiatives as Claire Guttadauro introduces the project website and collection curator, Mika Benesh relates the stories of a few of his favorite artifacts.
