This interactive workshop uses examples like Chinook and GCMS to explore hidden processes and assumptions in app design.

Through speculative scenarios and design fiction methods, participants will reflect on app functions, their users, and possible futures. The workshop also considers the use of such applications in immigration systems and their broader social and political implications.

About the speaker: Dr. Geoffrey Rockwell is a Professor at the University of Alberta specializing in digital humanities, Al ethics, and text analysis. He co-developed Voyant Tools and is the author of Defining Dialogue and Hermeneutica.
