Take a break, grab your lunch, and join us for an inspiring session with Barrie Risman, who will introduce us to The Work That Reconnects (WTR) - a transformative framework developed by Joanna Macy that helps people reconnect with themselves, their communities, and the Earth in times of change.
In this session, Barrie will share:
Participants will also get a hands-on introduction to one of WTR's key frameworks, the Spiral, and experience how it can spark reflection, resilience, and connection.
We'll wrap up with a lively discussion on how these practices might enrich our own teaching, learning, and community spaces.
Barrie Risman, E-RYT 500, is an internationally recognized yoga teacher, public speaker, and author of Evolving Your Yoga: Ten Principles for Enlightened Practice. As the lead trainer for Concordia Recreation's new Yoga Teacher Certification Program, she brings more than three decades of experience to her teaching.
