Take a break, grab your lunch, and join us for an inspiring session with Barrie Risman, who will introduce us to The Work That Reconnects (WTR) - a transformative framework developed by Joanna Macy that helps people reconnect with themselves, their communities, and the Earth in times of change.

In this session, Barrie will share:

  • The origins of WTR and its core principles
  • How she's integrated it into her own practice and teaching
  • Her experiences bringing it to life in AHSC classrooms as a guest facilitator

Participants will also get a hands-on introduction to one of WTR's key frameworks, the Spiral, and experience how it can spark reflection, resilience, and connection.

We'll wrap up with a lively discussion on how these practices might enrich our own teaching, learning, and community spaces.
