In celebration of Science Literacy Week, Concordia University Library has partnered with McGill Library for a women in science Wikipedia edit-a-thon. This edit-a-thon will focus on editing, improving and writing Wikipedia content about women who contributed to the sciences. If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to fix a typo, add a citation or create a whole new article, then this is the workshop for you. For more information you can visit the Wikipedia Meetup page.

The edit-a-thon will start at 2:00pm with a brief tutorial on how to edit Wikipedia. This will be followed by a group editing session, where experienced Wikipedia editors and librarians on site can help 1:1 and answer your questions. Drop in at any time during the event! No Wikipedia editing experience necessary. Help will be provided for Wikipedia newcomers as needed throughout the event.

Please bring a laptop if you have one. Laptops can also be borrowed from the Circulation Desk on LB-2.

Note: The theme for the edit-a-thon is Women in Science, but this is an inclusive event open to everyone who wants to learn how to contribute to Wikipedia. Registration is not required.
