Join professors Carmela Cucuzzella and Cynthia Hammond from Concordia’s Faculty of Fine Arts, as well as Jean-Pierre Chupin, professor in the School of Architecture at Université de Montréal, for a conversation on eco-didacticism in the city. Short presentations by Cucuzzella, Hammond, Chupin and a few of their Concordia PhD students will be followed by a roundtable discussion with the audience.

The discussion will introduce the idea of not only the ‘teaching’ phenomena in green buildings, but also the ‘teaching’ phenomena of eco-art and eco-design in the city. The ‘teaching’ characteristic of these works most often intends to help teach sustainable behaviour. The participants in this discussion will ask how to do this, what does it communicate and is this practice effective?
