Amélie Daoust-Boisvert's Gender, Diversity and Journalism class invites you to a special talk with Marie-Michèle Sioui, journalist at Le Devoir and Geneviève Sioui, Indigenous community engagement coordinator at Concordia University, both members of the Huronne-Wendat First Nation.

How to report on Indigenous Issues

In this talk, they will discuss the challenges of reporting on Indigenous issues and Indigenous representation in the media. They will also talk about the importance of language when reporting on Indigenous Communities and issues.

The discussion will be held online via Zoom. Registration is mandatory to attend and the talk will be recorded for our educational database.

The Zoom link will be emailed to all registered attendees the day before the event.
