*Please note that this course will be taught in French.

This course examines decolonial feminist perspectives, particularly in French-speaking spaces. Addressing theoretical, political, and practical issues, the analysis considers the intellectual and political roots of decolonial feminisms in French-speaking contexts. The selected texts, from the Caribbean, Quebec, Africa, and other French-speaking spaces around the world, expose the models and concepts of community mobilization, activism, and intellectual production from these places.

WSDB 498 GA: Feminist Leadership Seminar (May 12th to 16th)

The Feminist Leadership Seminar is an intensive week-long experiential 3-credit intensive course that will provide students with core skills and training in feminist leadership. What is feminist leadership? What does feminist leadership mean in the context of coalitionbuilding, advocacy, and allyship work? What is the relationship between feminist leadership and achieving the organizational goals of equity, diversity, and inclusion?

Students will be presented with opportunities to develop/refine skills in consultative processes, collaborative visioning and goal setting, active listening and feedback, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
