If you have a question or concern not addressed by the department website, the best option is to email geogplanenviro@concordia.ca. Most requests are responded to within one business day. If you have not received your email confirmation within 24 hours (excluding weekends and holidays), please send a follow-up request or contact the department by phone at 514-848-2424 ext. 2050.  If you need to speak with an advisor please see the section below named "Advising"

Advising & Registration 2023-2024

In preparation for the 2023-2024 year please see below information on booking advising appointments in the Department of Geography, Planning, & Environment.

  • The course catalogue for the 2023-2024 academic year will be posted in late February of 2023.
  • Advising for the 2023-2024 term will start on March 1st,2023 and you may book now (see below "Booking Undergrad Advising".)
  • Registration starts March 7th, 2023 and is related to credits accrued (i.e., the fewer credits need to finish your degree the sooner you will be able to register - See Undergraduate Calendar.)
  • If you want to meet with an advisor please book a date prior to your registration date.

Graduate Advising - MEnv, Msc,& Phd Programs

Our programs accept students from a wide range of backgrounds. The department offers both course-based and thesis-based master’s degree programs. If you are interested in our MENv (Environmental Impact Assessment), MSc, or Ph.D. programs, please use the QR code or the link below to book an appointment with the graduate program assistant.

Applying to Urban Planning Specialization 2023-2024

Interested in transferring to the Urban Planning Specialization stream?  

Submit a Request

Students enrolled in the Major in Urban Studies, or other undergraduate programs in Arts and Science, seeking to transfer to the BA Specialization in Urban Planning normally request a transfer at the end of their first year, after completing a minimum of nine URBS credits and a min. cum. GPA of 3.0.
