Hello everyone! My name is Yara and I'm a forth year computer engineering student. In my free time, I love biking around Montreal and spending time with family and friends. I also love traveling and ice cream.
The one thing I wished I would have known back in my first term is... that it's okay not to have everything figured out. The expectations we place on ourselves to be perfect can get in the way of actually learning and enjoying the university experience.
A tip for a new student is... to try things that scare you just a little, whether it's joining a student club, starting a conversation, or saying yes to something new. That's how you grow and find your people.
My favourite part of being a Concordia student is... having so many spaces and opportunities to learn, create, volunteer and network. I love how involved students get to be!
