Hi, I'm Vatsal! I'm currently doing my Master's in Computer Science, and I'm interested in anything related to AI/ML/DL. I love watching sports and going out on walks. I closely follow football (the real one), Formula 1 and basketball.
The one thing I wished I would have known back in my first term is... to not procrastinate. You are entering your 'adulting' phase and can often get overwhelmed by making new friends, exploring new places, managing your own food, etc. In a flash, midterms arrive, and then you have to go through sleepless nights and unnecessary stress.
A tip for a new student is... get involved at Concordia as much as possible. There are many services and clubs at the university. Just find what you like, and you'll be surprised to know how many others are also into that. That's the best way to form organic friendships.
My favourite part of being a Concordia student is... that it is right in the heart of downtown. Need to grab a quick bite or coffee? No worries, you literally have all the cuisine options (and some are also cheap!). Stressed and want to unwind? Go hike up Mount Royal, which is just a 30-minute walk away (or a 10-minute bus ride). Looking for a lively atmosphere? Just stay on St-Catherine Street and walk till the Place des Arts. The options are endless.
