Hi, my name is Taiwo, and I’m a third-year Finance student. I enjoy learning about finance, technology, and trying new things. Outside of school, I like reading, exploring the city, challenging myself with new experiences, watching TV shows and meeting new people.
I’m always happy to chat about student life, courses, or getting involved on campus.
The one thing I wished I would have known back in my first term is.... most students are also figuring things out for the first time. You’re not out of place, and it’s always okay to ask for help when you need it.
A tip for a new student is... speak with your academic advisor early to make sure you’re taking the right courses in the correct sequence.
My favourite part of being a Concordia student is... the welcoming and diverse community. There are so many resources available to help students succeed academically, professionally and personally. Another thing is the many clubs, events, networking opportunities and the campus location in downtown Montreal, which makes it easy to explore the city and connect with others.
