Meet Sofia Kajzer

Hi, I'm Sofia! I'm a third-year Political Science student. I had the incredible opportunity to spend a year on exchange in Berlin, and it truly was the best experience of my life. I'm a strong advocate for studying abroad because it not only broadens your horizons but also allows you to connect with people from all corners of the world. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have about preparing for your time abroad.

My experience abroad

Hamburg Carnival: CSEP AY23/24 Sofia Kajzer

My favorite part of going on exchange was…

Knowing I could do it on my own and that I was able to create a life for myself in a completely new city. Oh, and travelling all around Europe was a lot of fun!

Going on exchange challenged me because…

It was the first time I lived alone. I got out of my comfort zone a lot, especially the first few weeks when I was meeting new people and discovering the city.

The biggest cultural shock I experienced was…

Beer...People drink beer everywhere: on the streets, in the trams...Oh! and the parties start very late, so be ready to party till morning!

I felt like I made a great decision to go on exchange when…

I was walking around the city with a big smile on my face, just happy to be in such a cool and dynamic city!
