My experience abroad

Saint Patrick's Day, Ireland CSEP W25 Destiny Yamba Mbenga

Going on exchange challenged me because…

Leaving everything I knew and starting all over in a new environment was not something I've done before. My exchange was the first time I had lived by myself. But I found the experience to be completely worth the challenge.

I recommend going on exchange because…

You will learn a lot about yourself and how you adapt to new environments. Being on exchange really pushes you to try new things and step out of your comfort zone.

A tip I would give to students applying for exchange is…

Learning as much as you could about where you are going to be prepared and going in with an open heart and mind.

I felt like I mafe a great decision to go on exchange when…

I met so many great people while being in the UK. Once I was fully comfortable with the change then I was able to fully integrate and adjust. I truly wanted to stay longer as the time to leave was approaching.
