Biographie

La Dre Rochelle Frounfelker est chercheuse post-doctorale au département de psychiatrie de l'Université McGill. Elle travaille avec la Dre Cécile Rousseau dans son programme de recherche sur la radicalisation violente. Elle a obtenu son doctorat en épidémiologie sociale à Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Les recherches de la Dre Frounfelker sur la radicalisation violente comprennent l'examen des facteurs de risque et de protection de la sympathie pour la radicalisation violente dans des échantillons transnationaux de jeunes et de jeunes adultes, en mettant l'accent sur la compréhension de la dynamique entre la discrimination, la santé mentale et la sympathie pour l'action violente. Elle est également engagée dans l'évaluation d'un modèle d'intervention clinique pour traiter la radicalisation violente. La Dre Frounfelker s'intéresse à l'élaboration et à la gestion de la radicalisation violente en tant que problème de santé publique, en accordant une attention particulière aux initiatives de prévention primaire qui ciblent les opinions et les attitudes envers la radicalisation violente dans la population générale.
