Marco Luna, originally from Lima, Peru, is a filmmaker and educator at Concordia University’s Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. Holding an MFA in Studio Arts - Film Production, he specializes in documentary filmmaking and immersive technologies. Marco teaches film montage, filmmaking, and interactive VR cinema, encouraging students to harness new technologies to craft unique narrative experiences. His notable works include Cuando Todo Sucedió (2006) and Status (2012), as well as the VR experiences I am the Blues VR (2018) and Deseos de Casa (2021). At the Milieux Immersive Storytelling Studio at Concordia University, Marco mentors fine art artists in VR and AR, utilizing cinema as a powerful tool for education and social impact. He is deeply committed to the evolution of cinema, continually exploring how immersive technologies can enhance narrative experiences across artistic fields.
