My current and past research is on the Latin elegiac poet Ovid, specifically his series of letters written by abandoned heroines called the Heroides. From strictly poetic interpretations of the letters, I have moved to investigating issues of gender and space in the single letters of the Heroides and the Metamorphoses.
I have taught at Concordia University since 1989 and have held the administrative positions of Associate Dean, Student Academic Affairs, Faculty of Arts and Science and Vice-Provost, Teaching and Learning, Office of the Provost. I presently sit on the University Senate.
