Position description
The Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Aerospace Engineering invites applications for one 12-month Limited Term Appointment (LTA) contract at the rank of Lecturer in the area of Industrial Engineering. The position is focused primarily on fundamental undergraduate courses in Industrial Engineering including facilities planning and warehouse operations, human factors engineering, computer-integrated manufacturing, and stochastic models in industrial engineering, as well as Master of Engineering courses such as applied probability and statistics, discrete-event simulation, advanced quality control, and design and operation of supply chain networks.
Limited-term Faculty members at Concordia are full-time faculty members whose primary duties include teaching and service, with no research obligations.
Qualifications and assets
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering or a similar discipline. Membership in a Canadian professional engineering association, preferably in Quebec, is required. Industrial experience will be a definite asset. The candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in diverse areas.
