Chloë Lum and Yannick Desranleau are installation artists who work across video, performance, sculpture, sound, text, and photography. Their collaborative practice is rooted in the theatrical and the choreographic and examines the slippery and complex relationships between bodies and inanimate objects. These subjects are examined through the lens of chronic illness. They are based in Tiohtiá:ke (Montréal) and have worked collaboratively since 2000.

They have exhibited widely, notably at the Esker Foundation, Calgary; the Center for Books and Paper Arts, Columbia College, Chicago; the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal; the Kunsthalle Wien; BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art; Whitechapel Project Space, London; the University of Texas, Austin; the Confederation Centre Art Gallery, Charlottetown; and the Blackwood Gallery, University of Toronto. Lum and Desranleau are also known on the international music scene as co-founders of the avant-rock group AIDS Wolf, for whom they also produced award-winning concert posters under the name Séripop. Their work is in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Montreal Museum of Fine Art, the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, and the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec.
