More applications will benefit from an added layer of security.

As part of Concordia’s ongoing multi-factor authentication (MFA) project, MFA coverage for faculty, staff and students is continuing to expand to include a wider range of applications this fall. This additional coverage will assist in protecting your information by preventing other people from gaining access to your accounts.

As of November 29, Sofia, the Library's Discovery Tool will benefit from an added layer of security by requiring MFA when accessing a personal Sofia account.

Additionally, the following services will also benefit from an added layer of security by requiring MFA at sign-in for students:

  • Co-Curricular Record
  • Co-op COMPASS
  • Mathematica
  • OPUS Card
  • Student voting

Additional applications will be impacted and a complete list is available on our IT Service Catalogue page

What does this mean for you?

  • As a current MFA user, you will now be prompted to enter a second factor when signing into the listed applications.
  • If you want to verify that your MFA is properly activated on your accounts, please visit https://aka.ms/mfasetup from your computer and sign in using your Concordia email address and password.
