Concordia alumna Carly Paige isn’t your typical makeup-loving girl. When she wakes up in the morning, she gets to decide whether she keeps her face — or tries on someone else's. She’s turned herself into everyone from Breaking Bad’s Walter White and Marilyn Manson to Hollywood’s dream couple, Brangelina.

“I started off by doing some of the more scary stuff like Freddy Krueger, Chucky, I did zombies,” she says. “It’s a blast, just letting your imagination go wild.”

Paige didn’t always consider pursuing makeup professionally. It was her love of cinema that inspired her to study at Concordia’s Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema and think creatively when it came to her career.

In this report by alumni reporter Rachel Lau, BA 2013, Paige discusses her success which is supported by almost 10,000 “likes” on her Facebook page.

Paige says she’s really looking forward to Halloween. “I’m planning to give out candy and scare every little kid who comes to my door. That’s what I’m really looking forward to.”
