Lauren Farley, alumna of Concordia University (BA ’09, MA ’18), has stepped into the role of interim director of Recreation and Athletics. A seasoned Concordia administrator, Farley brings over a decade of institutional knowledge and leadership experience to the position.

Farley has served as director of Residence Life since 2018, following a four-year tenure as manager. Throughout her time, she has played a leading role in planning diverse educational programs and social initiatives, while fostering strong collaborations with campus partners to ensure student residents have access to comprehensive resources and support.

“With her years of experience at Concordia and her strong understanding of our community and operations, I am confident she will help ensure continuity and stability during this transition,” said Sabrina Lavoie, associate vice president, Campus Services and Sustainability.

During her interim appointment, Farley will temporarily step away from her role as Director of Residence Life. During this period, Lavoie will assume responsibility for Residence Life, in addition to her current role as Associate Vice-President, Campus Services and Sustainability.

The University has officially launched the search for Concordia’s next director of Recreation and Athletics and looks forward to the continued success of the department under Farley’s interim leadership as the search for the next Director gets underway.
