Concordia and the Concordia Research and Education Worker’s Union sign a new collective agreement

The parties met on June 19 for the signing

Concordia and the Concordia Research and Education Workers union (CREW-CSN) have signed a new collective agreement for teaching assistants and research assistants, covering the period from June 1, 2023, to May 31, 2026.

An Agreement in Principle was reached on March 18, ratified by union members on March 20, and approved by the Board of Governors on April 16. The agreement was officially signed on June 19.

The university representatives pictured at the signing are:

  • Graham Carr, president and vice-chancellor
  • Anne Whitelaw, provost and vice-president, Academic
  • Kristina Huneault, vice-provost, Faculty Development and Inclusion
  • Michael Di Grappa, vice-president, Services and Sustainability
  • Sandi Chase-Caron, manager, Faculty Development and Inclusion
  • Andrew Ryder, chair, Department of Psychology
  • Carolina Willsher, associate vice-president, Human Resources
  • Sylvie Côté, executive director, Employee and Labour Relations
  • Sarah Marshall, senior advisor, Employee and Labour Relations
  • Michael Mondelli, senior advisor, Employee and Labour Relations

The CREW representatives pictured at the signing are: 

  • Magdalaina Teeuwsen, general coordinator
  • Jason Langford, current bargaining officer
  • Ria Mayer, former bargaining officer
  • Nicholas Avedisian-Cohen, member of the bargaining committee
  • Stephen Gnanasihamany, member of the bargaining committee
  • Victoria MacBeath, member of the bargaining committee

The new agreement is now posted in both English and French on the Concordia website.
