Various issues concerning Concordia University are often reported on by news outlets. Here is the most recent coverage pertaining to the institution: 

  • Health News Network announces that Motion Correct, a Concordia-based team, is competing in the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) Neuro Startup challenge to develop business plans around patents for inventions currently available for licensing. Motion Correct has chosen to work with "Invention 14" — a device that improves MRI imaging.
  • The Montreal Gazette publishes an opinion piece by Stephen Huddart of the J. W. McConnell Family Foundation about how universities can help build thriving, innovative cities. Huddart mentions two Concordia initiatives: the District 3 business incubator and La Ruche D'Art "art hives", showcasing the work of emerging artists at venues in low-income neighbourhoods. The opinion piece is based on a talk Huddart gave at the JMSB on Monday as part of the Future of the University and the Future of Learning speaker series.
